As some of you have kindly pointed out to me, our wedding happens to have a scheduling conflict with a home game for the San Diego Chargers starting at 1:15pm. To make things even worse, it’s against the dreaded Patriots.

Believe me, no one is more upset about this than… well… myself! I knew we ran the risk of missing a game when we set the date, but man the Patriots?! That sucks!

I just want to make it known that your presence at our wedding during such a pivotal game is truly appreciated and we are going to do everything possible to make this a Chargers-friendly affair. I’m hereby officially proclaiming it a BYOTV event.

And while we’re on the topic of sports, others have mentioned that our (currently first place) Padres might be in the World Series during our big day. I’m not going to comment on the subject for fear of jinxing the team, but in my experience World Series games that fall on Sundays are almost exclusively played in the evening so as not to conflict with football.  You can expect a Padres-themed after party should the need arise, but again I am not planning on anything other than missing the Chargers game at present.
